This neoclassical church was constructed in 1828 in the style of Greek Revival and serves as the final resting place for the remains of both John Adams and John Quincy Adams in its crypt. The church is the oldest standing building along Quincy’s Hancock Street and offers free guided tours (by request and appointment only).

John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum

Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum houses thousands of artifacts that tell the story of JFK’s brief but poignant presidency. John Quincy Adams inherited the home, also known as Old House at Peacefield, in 1828, where it now operates as a museum with artifacts detailing his life and presidency. Visitors can also tour the Stone Library (also known as “Peacefield”), one of the oldest presidential libraries in the United States built to house Adams’s personal collection of over 14,000 books.
